BBQ Pulled Pork


Makes 8 servings

Ingredients:
1 (2-3 pound) pork tenderloin, butt, or shoulder
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle of root beer
1 (18 ounce) bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce
8 hamburger buns, split and lightly toasted
salt, pepper and garlic salt to season

Directions:
1.  Rub salt, pepper, and garlic salt on the pork. Using a fork, poke holes in the pork so the juices can be soaked up. Place the meat in the slow cooker, add the root beer and let it cook on low for 5 1/2 - 6 hours.

2.  Drain and pull the pork apart easily with a fork. Return the pork to the slow cooker, add the BBQ sauce and let it continue to cook on low for another hour.

Serve with coleslaw
